SHELLY WARD
Board President
Working in the same arena as Kaity’s Way, Shelly Ward wanted to help the nonprofit. She started off by volunteering at various events and then moved on to helping the organization with presentations. Shelly joined the board in May 2014.
Shelly received a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, and a CCL in Forensic Investigation from Mesa Community College. She is currently the Victim Services Administrator for the Mesa Police Department located at the Mesa Family Advocacy Center. Shelly and her team provide direct assistance to crime victims including court accompaniment, referrals, safety planning and protective order assistance. She is a certified trainer for the Stewards of Children Child Abuse Prevention Curriculum and a presenter for Kaity’s Way. Shelly is committed to educating teens about dating violence to enable them to make healthy relationship choices.
She has lived in the Valley for more than 30 years and enjoys gaming and spending time with friends and family.
