MELISSA BENSON

Melissa Benson is an attorney with Davis, Miles, McGuire, Gardner. She was first introduced to Kaity’s Way in 2010 when she worked as a victim’s advocate for Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Melissa was a victim advocate both in the court system and for a local shelter. She then was a probation officer and recently a Special Victim’s Prosecutor in New York. All of these career choices have been driven by Melissa’s strong passion for obtaining justice for victims of domestic violence.

From the moment she met Executive Director Bobbi Sudberry, she knew the Kaity’s Way nonprofit was going to impact many victims and wanted to help spread its message. Melissa joined the board in 2019 and looks forward to helping move Kaity’s Way’s mission forward.

When not working, she loves spending time with her three precocious children. They enjoy traveling, reading and attending concerts and sporting events.
